Peihong is among a few selected artists whose works have been collected in the Famous Paintings and Calligraphies Museum in China. Additionally, her work was also collected in 1995 in Uncut Jade, a corpus of women artists in this century. Rooted in Chinese traditions, Peihong paints with a vigorous style. Her paintings, carrying profound messages, have been exhibited both inside and outside China and have been included in several published art books. Her painting, “Fragrant Moonlit Night,” was presented by the Chinese Government to the French Government. People in the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and elsewhere around the world collect her work. Peihong’s work has been exhibited in major cities around the world such as: Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Beijing, and Tokyo. Since 1999, Peihong has made her home in the U.S., where she teaches Chinese brush painting and continues to develop her own style.
When describing the impact that art has had in her life, Peihong mentions that she has spent the happiest hours of her life seeking spiritual tranquility in her paintings. When teaching, she feels proud to transfer a rich tradition and knowledge of over two thousand years into exceedingly contemporary artwork.
In addition to her personal work, Peihong also works as an Artist-in-Residence for COLLAGE: The Art for Cancer Network. Peihong describes her work with COLLAGE as a “wonderful program where patients and family members feel relaxed and are able to temporarily forget about their worries.” She loves seeing her participants feel proud of the work they create during her class.
