COLLAGE: The Art for Cancer Network
Amelia Young was born in Lincoln, Massachusetts and currently resides in Boston. A visual artist working primarily in sculpture, her preferred media include found objects, cast iron, wood, steel, and drawing. She also works in photography and contemporary poetry. Amelia received her BFA with Honors from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2014, and has curated, co-curated, and exhibited in numerous student and professional gallery exhibits. Her work was recently displayed in the group show The Uncanny Home of Our Imagination at the Nave Annex Gallery in Somerville, Massachusetts, and at the Juried Exhibition of the 2015 National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art in Birmingham, Alabama.
